Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provides hope to families around the world. They believe in supporting families and helping them access the vital medical care and resources they need. This includes finding safe and loving temporary homes for the pets of sick children and families displaced by health issues or medical treatments.

Families with Pets, who travel far from home for a child’s medical care, are often left struggling and without options for a safe and loving environment for their Pets. BestyBnB partners with Charitable Organizations such as RMHC to make sure quality pet boarding options are available and easily accessible for those families in their time of need.

The Crisis

Nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. That means more than 10 million victims are abused annually. Sadly, statistics show that roughly 5 million children are exposed to Domestic Violence every year.

• Less than 5% of Domestic Violence Shelters have the means to house companion animals.

• Over 50% of women, who call a 24-hour abuse hotline seeking help, DO NOT leave their abuser when they find out they CANNOT bring their pet. This is the #1 barrier preventing victims from seeking immediate help.

• Sadly, in those scenarios when Pets are left behind, 70% of those Pets are abused or killed by the abuser in retaliation.
